This is what I was doing. I was cutting and sewing… I decided to part with some of my old T shirt instead of saying goodbye forever; I repurposed them into kids pant. Isn’t wonderful ?

Weekend Funtime and Wardrobes Refashion

Learning time…
Today, I watched ‘Peaceful Warrior’ movie. It’s the most beautiful movie I have seen. It’s based on true event. Quotes in the movie something to learn

"Life has three rules: Paradox, Humor, and Change.
- Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste your time trying to figure it out.
- Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
- Change: Know that nothing ever stays the same."
“The journey is what brings us happiness not the destination”.

Coming to Fun Time…
I took Aryan to Park. After a good hour playing then we headed home for warm bath and dinner.

Sewing time:
Refashion daddy's Tshirt into son's pyjamas.
Aryan is daddy's boy.  Can you see it??
I gave new life to this old T shirt.  I also used aryan' old body suit.

I think everyone should try this out.   The result is cute....

Simplicity is beauty.

I'm in love with ruffle, Isnt it simple and easy to make? Give a shot! its so easy, you can make them in no time. I used elastic to get the ruffle. Place the elastic on the fabric and pull the elastic as you stitch.

I liked this flowery lavender fabric looks beautiful with ruffle. I tried this pattern for the first time so I made trial and error for measurement.  I loved the ruffle so much that I took extra fabric for shoulder and neck. Then I had to discard them.                                   Next time i will make step by step tutorial of this ruffle top.  I'm planning to make one in black for my little sister with more photos..

After stiching the neckline ruffle, I decided to add flower belt to wastline. It worked like charm and I got the fit which I was looking for.
Happy Weekend!

Beads& Fabric

I bought beautiful red cotton fabric set awhile ago. I choose simple pattern with short sleeve tunic top and pyjama pant typically tapering at ankle. I loved the pattern of the fabric ( kameez&salwar) and decide to make kameez out of both fabric. I wanted to embellish beads for neck design.  My all time favourite is pearl.  I found pearl bead in my collection so here i go freehand sew.

Although this freehand embroidery took some patience, it give me so much joy. This is what I did with salwar fabric I tried random design.

I Love August

It’s August! One of my favourite months – filled with memories and pleasant weather. Monsoon season are cooler with showers, clearing the air and coincide with celebration (our wedding anniversary and Onam).

I know I’m running behind schedule and takes me little longer to complete things these days.
- My sewing machine broke, It's frustrating to be working on a sewing project and suddenly forced to a thumping halt. After 2 days of struggle today I fixed it..
- My little fellow having hard time with his stuffy nose.

New month with beautiful weather will make up these things.
• Aryan says more words
• Planning to do more sewing (I have finished few project, photos are pending to post).
• Festival and celebration season.
• Amazed with my sister's painting.

My younger sister has lot of potential.  I love all her work, they are just astonishing beauty.
Final touch with the antique frame.

Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a casserole dish and sauté ginger, garlic, onion till its golden brown. Green chilly or peppercorn for taste(optional if you cooking for adult). why did I like this

Inspired by Spring chicken from Badskirt

Colour attracts me. Isn’t it adorable?

My son loved this cute pretty thing. I end up making three of them.
Challenge to make things.  I start with one thing and end-up discovering something else
I adore being creative and enjoy what I can make. Probably it’s in my gene from my mom. She is a person does sewing, knitting, painting, crafting, cooking, gardening, endless list..

Even if I make something from the book/blog, I try to add my ideas for new look. I’m happy that I able to incorporate my ideas.

Million things in my head to make. Although many are unfinished. This keep me busy thinking what is next.
Its a great feeling to wear what you make(my pending projects,I will publish soon). And someone says I like your dress.
How can I forget my wonderful husband? He is always behind me motivating.
