Weekend special...


Its been long since I did any recycling project.  I totally love them to do, allows me to think out of the box.  There are so many inspiring blogs to collate your ideas.  This is really quick and very simple project.

Material required


Any plastic bottle
Some ribbon to decorate
Hot glue
Cutter


Cut the bottle into half, use the glue and stick the ribbon around the raw edge of the bottle.  You are done.  Isn't it quick?

Finally I found my button and buckle organiser.

Luttaps Lunch bag

If you have read my last post luttaps bag

 Here is the lunch bag i made for her.  I really like this lunch bag it is simple drawstring pattern and cute as well.  Requires very less cloth, can be made with scrap cloth and need less than half hour time.

A cute satin ribbon knot to tie the bag, this can be used as gift bag  as well.

After a nice long festival weekend... I am so delighted to show you this fabric bag, specially made for my sister.  She had same design leather bag of smaller version but she wanted bigger one.  I made slight changes in this pattern and I was impressed with result.

I bought 2 yards of this fabric because of dazzling print.   I made a bag, purse organiser and lunch bag still have some more fabric.

This photo was really hard one, though unable to capture the full length. 

 And the interior has a zippered pocket on one side and two mobile pockets on the otherside.

I made this Purse organiser for her inspired by Studiokatdesigns. I made some changes depending upon the stuff to be kept in the organiser.  This is so helpful no matter how much you have to carry everything has a place.  Wow! I just love this organiser, ofcourse im planning to make one for myself.

This is a fairly a mini travel bag with plenty of space for purse organiser and lunch bag along with water bottle.

Refashioned Vest

Will you believe it, this is my maternity vest?  This is big, long for me now, I was bored with tired vest.  It was time to try my hand on refashioning and give new look.

This is an easy project, can be finished less than an hour ideal for beginner sewer.

Sorry I didn't take many photos for tutorial. Here is just a description how I went about...

Lay the vest flat and cut the bottom 3" which can be used for hands.  I used some matching cloth and lace to embellish neck and bottom of the shirt.

I was quite pretty happy with the new cute shirt.  I have two more refashioning projects  where I hope I'll  take more photos to show you soon.

Gavi Bag

Over the course of last month I could hardly spent time on sewing, my family was on and off down with flu or fever.  Every time I started working on this bag I somehow had to set it aside.  Finally new year helped me to end the process.

I made this pattern for my friend, so decided to call this bag by her initial "Gavi"  means imaginative and planner.

 

I redesign the pattern with recessed zipper and on the front there is space with hidden zipper.  Inside the bag there is pocket for mobile,pen,small diary and zippered compartment for cash and coin. Soon I will update this pattern.

January - Occasion season

This month is so special with family occasion to celebrate...Parents wedding anniversary,sister's birthday and mine as well. 

Today is my younger sister's birthday, Prisy is my favorite one and so special to me.  even though I remember we always used to fight during childhood.

This poem express exactly how I feel toward them.

Three sisters are we

We’re not always together,
Life sometimes keeps us apart.
But we're never separated
We’re in each other's heart.

Now I know we've had our troubles,
But we always get thru.

I made lot of friends in 2010,  I realized although I couldn't do much for them, I always received their support throughout my journey in 2010.

A new year with my new resolution, here I begin...
Resolution is to make at least one friend happy a day.
